Help Desk Customer Support - Work From Home Exetel is looking to employ an additional support desk person to join our support team on a work-from-home basis to answer technical and administrative support questions submitted by our customers via email or our helpdesk web site. Exetel is a small Australian communications services provider servicing around 70,000 residential and small business customers. Exetel's systems and processes are leading edge and are as advanced as any provider's systems any where in the world. The services provided by Exetel are ADSL and SHDSL broadband, wire line, mobile and VoIP telephone and a range of web and email hosting services. The duties of this position are to answer incoming support emails and helpdesk tickets of the following types: - Respond to problems customers are experiencing with their ADSL - Answering pre-sales questions regarding Exetel's services - Sorting out administrative/billing issues - Working with other Exetel people on various activities Exetel will provide: - Internet access - Phone and connection to the Exetel phone system - Three weeks initial training in Sydney The successful applicant will have: - A suitable place to work from in their home - A reliable computer - A home location capable of connection to a broadband service - The ability to maintain reliable Internet access - The availability to travel to Sydney for three weeks initial training The people who are currently successful at Exetel in these positions have the following characteristics: - Tertiary Degree in computer related subjects or equivalent to a computer related degree - Solid personal experience with modems and ADSL - Patience - Courtesy - Ability to work full on for extended periods of time Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications and you should state what remuneration you are looking for in your application.
