SOI’s strategy for growth over the next 3 years requires a dedicated approach to sales, business development and opening up new target markets. As a result, the newly created role of Sales and Business Development Executive is pivotal within SOI to manage the mix of new business development and existing client relationships. Working closely with the management team, you would be responsible for: • Handling existing and new incoming sales enquiries and client referrals; • Follow-up activity including quotations, database records, inspections and deal negotiations; • Generating new qualified leads and opening up new target markets; • Attending client and networking events; • Monitoring competitive activity; • Identifying your own training & development needs and opportunities. We are looking for a person with strong customer awareness and focus, who is methodical in following through to achieve quality outcomes, can juggle priorities and think outside the square to create solutions. You will really enjoy working with SOI if you are committed to professional development and are looking for a career path, you respond well to a fast-paced, demanding environment and you possess personal maturity, credibility and integrity with high levels of energy and enthusiasm. You should be able to demonstrate the following skills: • Superior verbal and written communications skills; • Exceptional relationship building skills - professional and personable; • Sound organisational skills, computer literacy and good record keeping; • Ability to work and interact as part of a team; • Ability to maintain effectiveness in dynamic environment. Proven experience in a sales / targeted market environment is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, you must be able to demonstrate creativity, drive, initiative and a “do whatever it takes” attitude to ensure your own success. Some flexibility with hours of work is also a requirement.
