| Aviation Field Manager POSITION LOCATED IN CHAD Responsible to: Operations Manager Responsibility for Staff: Directly: Ramp supervisors, Ramp handling staff Indirectly: Company staff on company flights Main Liaison: Internal: Equivalent level in support department (SSS, DOD, SRS etc) External: Local government, Local agents for vendors/carriers/service providers, and Military lower ranked officials. Prime Objective: To take a lead role in the daily flight operations of the company in a specific area of operation in theatre. Key Tasks: Develops flight schedules daily to facilitate delivery of customer's order in the most effective manner possible Coordinate loading and unloading of aircraft onto other aircraft or trucks. Works with the company to ensure receipt and delivery of cargo to and from warehouse by air/road to and from Airport. Monitors flight traffic and manages/reacts to any Air Control Measures (ACM). Performs follow-up and After Action Review (AAR) functions. Provides Briefs to Ramp Manager and Contractor Flight Managers on current and future situations. Oversees office staff and local staff where applicable. Handles local purchase accounts and payments where applicable. Liaises with Dispatch, Warehouse and Operational staff to ensure correct and timely cross load of cargo. Liaises with airport authorities (i.e. local CAA, UN, DoD, MoD) to ensure compliance with flight regulations and schedules. Manages Recording & Reports of Aviation issues and generates Daily Updates, AARs, and Incident reports, and provides measures for improvement/rectification. Checks records & reports from Aviation administration in location and ensures correct information is forwarded to HQ for processing/payment Meets KPIs set by management to ensure cost effective completion of missions in support of the company. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Good oral and written communication skills in English Possess aviation operations experience Possess a working knowledge of military air and ground terminologies and jargons. Ability to work harmoniously in an dynamic and multicultural environment. Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organized Ability to adapt to organizational change in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines Solid Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software skills Desirable: Experience with, and adaptability to, communal living and harsh condition Knowledge of Commercial and/or Military aviation air-to-ground standard operating procedures. Linguistic fluency in the language of business of locals in theatre of operation (i.e. French in Chad, Arabic in Sudan) Linguistic fluency in the native language of air crews (i.e. Russian) An understanding of Military logistical resupply concepts and doctrines.
