Senior Geostatistician Our client provides consulting services in the areas of resource estimation, mining geology and mining engineering. The company has earned a worldwide reputation for innovation and technical excellence and is a leader in the application of geostatistical methods for resource estimation and mining geology. Due to expansion, our client has an opportunity for a Senior Geostatistician with 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar position and significant operational involvement through previous employment with mining groups. This role requires: - 7 to 10 years of experience in Geostatistics - A recognised qualification in geostatistics, preferably with an earth sciences background. Familiarity with 3D geological modelling, resource estimation and data interpretation techniques is required. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: - Geostatistical analysis on a wide range of projects, requiring hands-on completion of projects and a focus on high quality documentation of project work. - Exploratory data analysis (statistics, variography etc.) - Geostatistical resource modelling - Risk Assessment and Analysis - Auditing (reviews to Due Diligence) - Technical reporting - Project management As part of a global network, there will be opportunities for liaison with specialists within this company both locally and abroad.
