We deliver mining solutions across the mining lifecycle, including Maptek Vulcan™, Maptek MineSuite™ and Maptek I-Site™, as well as highly regarded professional services from a network of offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and overseas.

Vulcan, our dynamic 3D modelling and mine planning software system, is highly regarded in the mining industry and is used world-wide for resources modelling and related fields. Vulcan software has a long history of setting and maintaining the benchmark for spatial modeling, analysis and design, and is recognised by our clients as delivering important capability for a wide range of operations in that industry globally.

We are expanding our Sydney operations and are looking for several motivated and experienced Software Engineers. You will be part of a Vulcan Product Development Team designing and developing new functionality. The Software Engineers are also responsible for contributing to the ongoing development success of the Vulcan product, integrating new features in accordance with the software development roadmap, increasing the stability, reliability and robustness of the product by refactoring existing code and seeking opportunities to participate in the future technical direction of Vulcan.

You must have tertiary Computing qualifications or equivalent industry experience. Willingness to work in a team, excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills are also required. To be successful in this position, you must have a good knowledge of C/C++, the Standard Template Library and experience in using UML for diagramming and design.

In this role you are encouraged to be creative and passionate about your work, as well as willing to help and support others in the company. Depending on particular projects, 3D programming including open GL, user interface libraries, database and SQL knowledge will be desirable. Strong mathematical and analytical skills would be an advantage.
