| DUBAI - DIABETES CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the patient centered diabetes education program at the Joslin affiliate in Dubai. Plans and conducts continuing education program in the areas of program development, implementation, marketing and review of clinicalprograms/services. Participates in the development of education curricula and materials by writing original material and/or revieweing the work of others. Participates in case management, and patient care planning and goal setting. Provide diabetes education services and general diabetes self-management education (DSME) to patient and families, care partners and community. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Masters degree preferred. * At least2 years experience in diabetes care and education/counseling of patients with chronic disease; a minimum of 3 years experience as a nurse, preferably one year in community health or ambulatory care setting. * Ability to speak Arabic ideal, but not required. * Excellent organisational, problem-solving, presentation and writing skills, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks. * Flexibility to adapt to changes in daily routine. * Skills in public speaking (or potential to develop) * Self directed. LICENSURE: * Registered Nurse; State Licensure * Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Board Certififed - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) required or must sit for exam within 6 months of eligibility.
