| DUBAI HOSPITAL - DIABETES CLINICAL DIETICIAN SPECIALIST Provides state of the art nutrition assessment, Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and general diabetes self-management education (DSME) in a variety of settings, to patients and their families/care-partner, helping to optimise their diabetes management. Participates in the development of education curriculu and materials by writing original material and/or reviewing the work of others. Has direct responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient centered diabetes education program at the Joslin affiliate in Dubai. Collaborates with other clinical dietician specialists in identifying the needs, developing and providing clinical programs and services. Promotes and disseminates quality diabetes and nutrition information to professionals and the public following established Clinic division guidelines. Participates in case management and patient care planning and goal setting. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * College degree in Nutrition or Dietetics; Master's degree preferred. * At lest 2 years experience in diabetes care and education/counseling of patients with chronic disease; preferably one year in community health or ambulatory care setting. *Ability to speak Arabic ideal, but not preferred. * Excellent organisational, problem solving, presentation and writing skills, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks. LICENSURE: Registered with the Australian Dietetic Association; State Licensure, Certified Diabetes Educator or Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) required or must sit for the exam within six months of eligibility.
